Drifting with the breeze: The ramblings of a born adventurer

Running from a sleuth of Alaskan bears our author is reminded that he failed to gain the prized Explorer Belt Award as a Scout, twice! Although disqualified, he has set out to explore the world on his own terms. Inexperience however, soon finds him peering through the bars of a prison cage in El Paso, grappling with extremely large crocodiles in the swamps of northern Australia and visa-less, avoiding the K.G.B. in Moscow.

While lost and digging out a car stuck axle deep in sand in the middle of the Sahara, he reflects that it's all quite a lot of fun really, even though a wee bit dangerous. Undeterred he perseveres and with his colourful observations on the planet and its people he blows some fresh air into travel writing.
