Does it matter that the industrialist's wife was once a clandestine lover, or that his daughter is his fierce preoccupation? Kovacs doesn't think so. He's not even suspicious of the experienced game hunter and the mysteriously cold guide hired to accompany the group into the remote Omenica Range in British Columbia's ruggedly wild interior.
