Honesty's Travesty

Suspecting that something is going awry in the management of his large-scale construction company, Harry Broughton, company president, decides to investigate. Setting Jack Malone, one of his division managers, to review the financial claims against the company's customers, Harry must maintain the company's image. Jack is instructed to employ the principle 'honesty is the best policy'.

Jack reluctantly accepts, afraid that his friends-the other division managers-will resent him poking into their operations. Swiftly, the extent of honesty, loyalty, and good business practices begins to blur.

Meeting Mary Meier, a division secretary with a charming and witty personality, proves an invaluable help. Between their steamy encounters, her insightful advice gives Jack a different perspective on how to handle the challenging situations he faces.

During his investigations, Jack uncovers the depth of dishonesty perpetrated by some of the division managers. When this exposure costs one of his friends his job, Jack begins questioning his role in the investigation and the motives of the company president in putting him to the task.
