Emptied: A collection of Poetry

Have you ever felt like you were searching for your worth in the things of this world? "Maybe the next degree or promotion will make me worthy of love." Destiny spent many years thinking that love was earned, yet deep down she didn't feel valuable. At 27-years-old Destiny realized she was broken and had no true understanding of her identity in Christ. She had done all the things, yet she still felt empty. This led to many nights where she'd cry because instead of being whole, she felt a void within. Emptied is a collection of Holy Spirit infused poems that Destiny wrote as she journeyed through her pursuit of becoming whole. She didn't know when she would be free, but she knew the Jesus she read about in the Bible was more than capable of setting her free. Emptied will change your life- one poem at a time. Have you noticed that your desires generally pull you towards the things that aren't healthy for you, yet you can't seem to let them go? Maybe like many of us, you've allowed the things of this world to overtake you and consume you. The first step to true freedom is recognizing that you are not free to begin with. Destiny realized that before she could be filled by God, He first would have to empty her of everything that was not like Him. Each poem written led Destiny to freedom which she believes will have a similar impact on your life.
