Sea-Mew Abbey

Raised in a French convent, a young woman is suddenly summoned to England by the father she cannot remember. Her journey is fraught with peril when her train is snowed up in the desolate Yorkshire moors. Finding shelter at a mysterious farmhouse, she overhears whispers of smuggling and a bitter feud involving her estranged father. Before she can even reach her destination, she stumbles upon a murder scene, with her own father as the prime suspect. Arriving at the lonely, ruinous abbey, she is told he has taken his own life.

Left in the care of his strange retainers, she finds herself in a house of secret passages, hidden rooms, and ghostly apparitions. As she navigates a dangerous world of smugglers, feuding families, and government agents, she must untangle a web of deceit to uncover the truth about her father's fate-and her own.
