Lily Montgomery's life in Los Angeles is turned upside down on a work trip to Las Vegas, where she meets Kai Brooks-a charismatic, physical, and dynamic defenseman for the Seattle Ice Wolves who claims he's in town to catch a game. A few too many cocktails later, an impulsive wedding and a steamy two-night affair set their lives on an unexpected course. When Lily finds herself facing pregnancy alone, fate brings Kai back into the picture.
