A Sigil of Darkness

Long ago, the persistent war between Heaven and Hell nearly led both armies of Angels and Demons to eradication. Fighting for eons over dominion of souls-a source of power for God and Satan-many from both armies were forever vanquished from their realm of existence. As their numbers dwindled, the souls became unstable and negatively impacted God and Satan-the Divine-for the worse.

In hopes to replenish their armies and regain order within the realms, the Divine agreed to a cease fire and created Overworld, a new realm where the souls of the dead may thrive in peace. And with it, a new government of Ancients were conjured to restore the realms to their former glory. What seemed like a solution to the chaos would be a decision the Divine would most certainly regret...

Betrayal! The Ancients saw the vulnerability of the Divine and turned on their creators. They summoned an army so vast, the Divine had no choice but to form a necessary alliance. And when imminent obliteration loomed upon the Divine, they were forced to retreat and locked themselves in Heaven and Hell by the Immortal Seals. Seals that were so powerful, they were fabled to never be broken.

The Ancients, however, are cunning. And what was once eternal may not be so... Centuries later, Isaiah Cayde met his unfortunate demise when he was murdered in cold blood. But just because he is dead, does not mean his life is over. Cayde awakens as a soul and bares a sigil with incredible essence and is being hunted by malevolent entities known as Lost Revenants. Limited on friends in the afterlife, he must not only find out who marked him with this sigil, but why?

Time is ticking and the path before him will alter the existence of every human, every soul, and Heaven and Hell themselves. The wheel of fate is in motion as a more deviant and sinister plan is about to unfold...
