The Life

The Life

There is a peculiar thing Christ is often caught saying; I am the life.

Though often not speculated one should endeavor to do look in to the meaning of it; for He does not say I Am Life but The Life; a thing that gives His speech a specification connoted by 'the' that comes before life. It is something that is real hard to pick if one simply overlooks it as it seems a simplistic or a decorative way of saying I am life.

Until you go 'The Life' spotting in the word; it all seems well and normal, for until you look carefully you can begin to see the separation in His statements. That He often do talk about 'The Life'.

Matthew 6:25 KJV Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Among many is the life squeezed in the above quotation of the Word. Until and unless you look carefully; you would think Jesus is comparing food with just being alive as any would be; but He is actually talking about the specific of apprehending the life abundant that leads man in to eternity.

The elaboration is not just caught of Christ but even the writings of John; as in the gospel. He specifically says, the light was the life.

John 1:4, 12-13 KJV In him was life; and the life was the light of men. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

The life does not talk of an eternity but a rebirth to qualify to enter there in to life eternal. Meaning the life is a form of maintenance and upkeep to wait until one enters there in to eternal life. Meaning He came as a quickening; a form of quickening that made men beat the essence of death by being born of God. A thing that means the life is not an entering there in to eternity but a set gateway in to the eternal life.

They that do gain this life John say are those who do believe in Him. For in Him is life and that life is the light of man. So, it quantifies a supposition that there is the life you could call of this world; and the life you could call His.

So, when He says to Martha; I am the resurrection and the life; Martha by all means does not get it. She fails to get His implication that He can give or take the life; so, Lazarus was not in any form of danger because He had come. He could give Lazarus the life or choose to keep it; so, He did give him the life and he was back in to life in full swing.
