PLAYERS Anonymous

PLAYERS Anonymous is a fictitious Christian-based organization where "PLAYERS" (Pleasure-Loving Abusers Yearning for the Engagement and Recruitment of Silly Women) go for spiritual and emotional healing. This book is the men's perspective of the stories told in Silly Women Anonymous. In each chapter, a self-loving man shares his perspective of his relationship with a silly woman during a meeting at PLAYERS Anonymous. Each shares background information about his relationship, how he was introduced to the organization, how he was mentored by a seasoned mentor, then he would expound on the scriptures that aided in his transformation and spiritual growth. Both Silly Women Anonymous and PLAYERS Anonymous were inspired by the scripture 2 Timothy 3:1-7, where it speaks about high-minded, boastful, self-loving players who having a form of godliness would creep into "silly women" houses, leading them into the captivity of various types of sinful lusts.

Maria Garcia is the author of Silly Women Anonymous and The Silly Woman's Companion. PLAYERS Anonymous complements Silly Women Anonymous. Maria's professional experience has been in child welfare and education. Maria is an experienced workshop facilitator. She has facilitated many workshops in the areas of social, emotional, career and spiritual development. She was inspired to write these books to highlight how male and female perceptions of love relationships and issues stemming from them can be vastly different. The intention is to bring both genders together to discuss relationship matters, so that "silly women" would turn away from self-loving PLAYERS and self-loving men would recognize how their self-absorbed actions negatively impact the lives of silly women as well as their own.
