Angel of Death

When Periwinkle Manning goes to New Horizons Assisted Living Center to offer her condolences to one resident on the death of her roommate, she doesn't expect to see the ghost of the dead woman.

Peri gained the ability to see the ghosts of murder victims after a concussion. Mrs. Naomi was supposed to have died of natural causes. However, she informs Peri that she was murdered. Her roommate backs it up by telling her she awoke to see someone smothering Naomi. Now Naomi wants to cross over, but she expects Peri to ferret out her murderer.

Upon the murder of a second resident, they realize they may have an "angle of death" on their hands. Peri once again teams up with Theo Navarro, a border at the B&B she runs, as well as a PI in business with two friends of her deceased brother. A ghost from Peri's first mystery returns unexpectedly. Along with whom Peri calls The Ghost Squad, and with more residents at potential risk, they work to unmask a killer hiding in plain sight before they can strike again.
