same page, these fictional snapshots of the ordinary and the fantastical
manage to convey entire worlds in compact form. They read like haiku
- moments pieced together through telling details, efficient character
development, and carefully considered punchlines. Never taking
themselves too seriously, these tightly turned stories manage to touch
on somber themes while eliciting delight, astonishment, and
reflection.
