Mantan Moreland: The Complete Career in Film, Television and Radio

While the 1930s and '40s marked Hollywood's "Golden Age" for some, Black male actors were most often confined to minor roles as servants or porters. One of the few to move beyond these small roles, Mantan Moreland was able to establish himself as a regular supporting player at Monogram Pictures and took leading parts in several all-Black independent productions.
