Jordan is called to a crime scene related to obvious neglect of a child. When the boy survives, she has to figure out not only who is responsible, but how to keep him and his sister safe.
Ellie's murder investigation takes a turn when she realizes she's familiar with one of the persons of interest: She and Miles Clairmont, son of a wealthy local family, dated briefly in high school. Is it possible he's completely oblivious to his father's ties to organized crime, or does he have his own agenda?
