商品簡介
This monograph is devoted to the history of the Karakalpak Autonomous Region, formed after the national-state division of Central Asia in 1924. The main focus is on the analysis of materials from local party conferences, congresses of Soviets of Deputies, periodicals and administrative documents. On this basis, key moments in the history of the Karakalpak Autonomous Region are examined, such as the formation of the Soviet party leadership, internal power struggles, attempts to implement land and water reforms, and the policy of collectivisation of agriculture, which led to the migration of part of the population. This monograph is based on the author's dissertation, defended in 1998. It has been supplemented, and partial amendments and additions have been made in this version. The representativeness of the sources used is justified by the fact that the work uses materials collected by the author during research practice in the archives of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan. Much of the information and conclusions have been used by other authors and served as a starting point for subsequent dissertation research on the history of Karakalpakstan from 1917 to 1941.
