Storytime with Kids of Steel

Inspired by P3R's award-winning youth fitness program, this collection of stories follows KID, an everyday child who discovers the joy of being active, setting goals, and believing in themself through participation in Kids of STEEL. When KID joins the program, new adventures unfold--filled with laughter, friendship, and of course fun movement. Along the way, KID becomes Cape KID, a symbol of all children who dare to dream big and never give up.

Each chapter introduces a new milestone in Cape KID's journey--from joining Kids of STEEL for the first time, to earning the magical cape that runs on exercise power, to running races through the city of Pittsburgh, and finally, leading others with kindness and sportsmanship. Through these stories, readers learn important life lessons about positive self-talk, teamwork, goal setting, communication, dedication, leadership, and sportsmanship--values that reach far beyond any race.
