商品簡介
An inventory of quarries in the Gharb-Chrarda-Beni Hssen region revealed the existence of 49 active quarries and more than 90 inactive quarries (idle or abandoned). These abandoned quarries have negative impacts on the landscape and the environment, namely: - Impact on the landscape, - Impact on water resources, - Impact on the natural environment, - Impact on local residents, - etc. To contribute to the improvement and preservation of the landscape and aesthetic environment of the city of Kenitra and its surroundings, we propose the rehabilitation of two abandoned quarries, one located in Nkhakhssa north of Kenitra and the other in Sidi Taibi, 10 km south of Kenitra. These quarries are very close to the immediate protection zone of the two ONEP catchment areas that supply drinking water to the cities of Kenitra and Sal? The land covered by these quarries is particularly vulnerable to pollution due to the shallow depth of the groundwater table. Conducting a site assessment and using GIS made it possible to characterize the area and propose rehabilitation measures.
