RESTORED TEXT and HISTORY OF THE KING JAMES BIBLE What Most KJV Publishers Omit is Included in this Historic Edition: Most mass-market KJV publishers strip away the foundational history of the English Bible "to save printing costs." The original source translator is never acknowledged, and the crucial 1611 Preface is universally deleted.
The Historic Edition resurrects these missing artifacts. Discover the historical KJV lineage, and witness comparison photos of the original translation, and 7 revisions of Tyndale's translation all compared next to each other.
Easy to Read: No text dips into the curve of the spine.A 14PT Bible font is easier to read than traditional "personal size" Bibles. As a Single-Column Reader, the verse-by-verse numbers sit clearly outside the text in the margin. The majestic prose of the King James flows without the mental distraction of numbers inside paragraphs.
- The English Octapla Exhibits: Photographs compare eight historic translations side-by-side, from Tyndale to the King James.
- The Dual 1611 Prefaces: 1) The Revisers "To the Reader" original 1611 preface. 2) An edited version of the same 1611 preface in easy-to-understand Modern English.
- The English Bible Lineage: A brief history traces the exact evolution of the sacred text.
- Archaic Words GLOSSARY: Instantly decode 17th-century vocabulary and words that have changed meaning.
Read the 1611 Text Publishers concealed (intentionally or unintentionally) KJV publishers predominantly omit the original 1611 Preface to the Reader. The deletion silences the KJ Revisers' own words, such as "Out of many good ones, one principal good one", indicating the KJV is a revision of past English Bibles.
Most publishers also omit "DILIGENTLY COMPARED AND REVISED" on the Title Page. William Tyndale, the original Translator of 83.7% of the New Testament, is never mentioned as the Father of the Bible.
