Being born with multiple metaphysical abilities in a time when being different wasn't acceptable, along with a mother who openly told Jan that she didn't like her, Jan turned to writing as an outlet when she was a child. As she matured, so did her encounters with personal relationships as well as her metaphysical, spiritual and physical observations and interactions with the world.
Jan also read - a lot. When reading others' poetry, her curiosity demanded to know, "Why? What happened that the author was compelled to create that poem?" It's because of those questions that Jan shares thought-provoking behind-the-scenes information at the end of each entry.
