That business model serves her well until the night she witnesses a coldblooded murder. While running for her life, she encounters FBI Agent Daniel Ryan. He puts her in protective custody while they hunt for the men trying to kill her...as well as the thief he believes saw the whole thing.
Skye doesn't mention that he's searching for her. The truth will come out eventually, but she hopes the lie will buy her enough time to escape. Ryan swears he'll protect her, but she doesn't trust him. She doesn't trust anyone.
