Claudia Pi鎑iro 繈rica de las Heras was recruited by the Soviet secret services in 1937. From then on, she operated as an elite international agent. During World War II, she parachuted behind German lines in Ukraine; in Mexico, she participated in the assassination of Trotsky; she married Felisberto Hern嫕dez in order to establish a KGB center in Montevideo, where she was implicated in an alleged assassination attempt on Che Guevara, as well as on her last husband. There she became the nanny of the author of this book, who was the daughter of a couple of Argentine Trotskyist politicians and intellectuals.
