The doctrine of the Covenant of Grace affects the way we understand the unity of Holy Scripture, our perspective on Christian marriage and its sacred vows, the sense of responsibility parents have toward the children they bring into the world, and the proper understanding of evangelism. Furthermore, if we lack a healthy understanding of the Covenant of Grace, we will not be able to see the important role Jesus plays in our redemption, since he is the Head and Mediator of the covenant, and through him all its benefits are distributed to the people of God's covenant. My hope and prayer is that this new edition will produce in readers a renewed appreciation for the biblical teaching of the Covenant of Grace and inspire many sermons that strengthen the Lord's Church.
