It is a trustworthy, insightful, and timely resource that equips churches to protect their people while continuing their ministry with confidence and peace." Ken Alexandrow Ret. Metro Nashville Police FBI Violent Crimes Task Force "What has always set Frederick apart, is the unique blend of his deep faith and his practical mindset. He is a lifelong follower of Christ whose love for the Church is evident in everything he does. He firmly believes that preparedness is an expression of stewardship- -caring well for God's people by creating a safe and welcoming environment. His passion for church security has never been about fear, but about wisdom, responsibility, and compassion." Richard J. Nowik, Associate Pastor & Director of Security Mt. Zion (Clarkston, MI) "The portion on de-escalation is well written, and I totally concur with his point that it is a skill that is very often overlooked! "De-escalation" training is not as exciting as going to the range and going through boxes of ammunition, BUT, having a good grasp of de- escalation concepts and tips to AVOID a situation from potentially becoming a shoot-out will mitigate risking "friendlies" around you from getting hurt."
