To the premature birth of my daughter, her fight in the NICU. To the fierce love, the protection of my Great grandparents. Yes, you read that correctly. I had the privilege of being protected by people from an older way of being. Instilled with a mindset from a different age. I went coast to coast. From the deserts of Nevada to the Great Lakes State. Down to the glamour of Disney's Florida. All the way back to the mighty Redwoods. Those principles my great grandparents gave me guided me through cancer. Through the medical journey. Into recovery. Maybe by the end, you will understand why I smoke. To my reader the one these words are meant for, the ones I am hoping to reach a Helping Hand to- I am here for you.
