Artificial Intelligence in Process Systems Engineering is a didactic reference book on the application of machine learning and AI algorithms for the modelling, simulation and analysis of chemical process systems. Applications of the main methods are exemplified with case studies for typical chemical processes in the industry and new processes under development for biomasss conversion into fuels and chemicals. Typical applications include modelling feedstock and product properties, estimation of raw material availability, modelling unit operations such as chemical reactors, distillation columns and process modules.
