Fr. Martin Ifeanyi Onuoha is a Catholic priest of the Diocese of Ahiara, Nigeria, currently serving as Parish Priest of three parishes in Stockport, in the Diocese of Shrewsbury, England. He holds a Doctorate and Licence in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, Rome, and lectures in Mariology, Ecclesiology, and Creation, Fall, and Redemption at Maryvale Institute, Birmingham, where he also serves on the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences Council.
A recognised scholar of the theology of Joseph Ratzinger/Pope Benedict XVI, Fr. Martin is the author of Mary, Daughter Zion: An Introduction to the Mariology of Joseph Ratzinger (Benedict XVI), Actio Divina: The Marian Mystery of the Church in the Theology of Joseph Ratzinger, and Life Is Always Worth Living: Assisted Dying or Living?, and a contributor to The Oxford Handbook of Joseph Ratzinger. He is a member of the Theological Commission of the International Marian Association and of the Global Working Group on Vatican II. He has preached retreats across Nigeria, Italy, Germany, the United States, and England, and in 2024 he met Pope Francis, as a delegate at the Vatican's International Congress on the Future of Theology.
