商品簡介
The work of Hans Frei, and the approach to Christian theology he and others championed (which Peter Ochs has designated "post-critical") continues to hold broad appeal in academic theology today. At the same time, Frei's work, and the post-critical approach to theology more broadly, is often and easily mistaken as a nostalgic project and an end-run around various sorts of critical concerns facing Christian theology. In this volume, Frei's own students and other renowned theologians reflect on the contemporary significance of Frei's central concerns and contributions on Christology, public theology and apologetics, theology and reading practices, political theology, and the relationships between theology, church, and academy. With a diverse array of leading theologians reflecting on the agenda, configuration, and future of theology as an academic discipline and formational ecclesial practice, this book offers readers the most compelling and expansive account of the ongoing significance of Frei's work and the hopeful future of Christian theology.
