Dr. Katharina Goldyn-V. is not simply an artist, she is a visionary whose work transforms sculpture, painting, and performance into a profound meditation on identity, spirituality, nature, and the sacred feminine.
This beautifully illustrated art book invites readers into the extraordinary world of an internationally acclaimed Polish-born artist whose remarkable journey led from years of solitude in the forests of Bavaria to major exhibitions at the Venice Biennale, Art3f Paris, and Palazzo della Cancelleria Vaticana in Rome. Through deeply personal essays, rare archival material, and stunning reproductions of her artworks, the book traces the evolution of an artistic language forged through resilience, contemplation, and unwavering creative conviction.
At the heart of Goldyn-V.'s practice is a radical reimagining of female mythology. Her celebrated series The New Human reclaims women as creators, spiritual leaders, prophets, and embodiments of divine power, challenging centuries of patriarchal narratives while drawing upon Christian iconography, ancient myth, and the living forces of nature. Marble, wood, earth, and pigment become vehicles for a visual philosophy that speaks to both the personal and the universal.
More than a monograph, this volume explores the ideas that shape Goldyn-V.'s work: solitude as transformation, art as spiritual resistance, ecological consciousness, and the enduring search for human dignity. It reveals an artist whose practice dissolves the boundaries between sculpture, ritual, theology, and contemporary art.
Richly illustrated and thoughtfully written, this book offers an intimate portrait of one of today's most distinctive artistic voices. Whether you are a collector, curator, scholar, or lover of contemporary art, Dr. Katharina Goldyn-V. presents a compelling exploration of an artist whose work challenges convention while inviting viewers into an experience of beauty, reflection, and profound spiritual encounter.
