Dark Current

ONE STOLEN SECRET. TWO PRIVATE ARMIES. ONE MAN STANDING BETWEEN A WEAPON AND THE PEOPLE IT WAS BUILT TO DESTROY.

Cole Walker doesn't ask questions about the jobs he takes.

He finds people.

So when he's hired to track down Dr. Riku Sato, a Japanese scientist who has vanished with a stolen biotechnology breakthrough, Cole expects a high-paying recovery job.

Then he discovers what Sato actually stole.

GENESIS isn't just pharmaceutical research. It's a revolutionary genetic delivery system that can be programmed to target specific DNA profiles-potentially creating a precision biological weapon capable of killing selected populations while leaving everyone else untouched.

And now everyone wants it.

A powerful defense contractor wants the technology recovered.

A ruthless private military company is hunting Sato across Tokyo.

The Yakuza are protecting him.

Japanese intelligence is closing in.

And somewhere behind them all is a foreign government prepared to use GENESIS against an entire diaspora.

But Sato isn't trying to sell the weapon.

He's trying to destroy it.

When Cole realizes the men who hired him are part of the conspiracy they're supposedly paying him to stop, he has to make a choice: finish the job and deliver Sato into the hands of the people who want GENESIS-or turn against his own client and make sure the weapon disappears forever.

Now Cole Walker is caught in a deadly international conspiracy involving espionage, covert operations, private military contractors, organized crime, and a biological weapon that must never reach its intended target.

In Tokyo, everyone has an agenda.

Everyone is watching.

And Cole is running out of time.
