This Psalm opens before us the secret chambers of a heart dependent upon God. Here, in sorrow and gladness, weakness and brokenness, David finds that the Word of the Lord is better than thousands of pieces of gold and silver. For in His Word, God makes Himself known-faithful in every promise, good in every providence, and sweet to every trusting soul.
These pages are an invitation to treasure the Scriptures, depend wholly upon their Author, and discover that beyond all His gifts, God Himself is the soul's everlasting treasure.
