Charlotte Harker is convinced she is never good enough for anything, or anyone. So when an antique ring hidden in a desk at Ellercott Hall sends her hurtling back to 1910, she isn't surprised when the handsome owner mistakes her for hired help.
Henry Grainger is running out of choices. Ellercott Hall is drowning in debt, and the only way to save his home, and secure a future for his two orphaned nieces, is to marry a wealthy heiress he doesn't love. Then Charlotte arrives, uncannily like the woman who has bewitched his dreams.
As the girls' new governess, Charlotte finally discovers what it feels like to be valued and loved. And falling for Henry makes leaving harder still. But sooner or later, she must return to her own time, and leave Henry to marry another woman.
However much Henry is falling in love with her, securing his nieces' futures comes first. Society has already dictated what is right for him and his nieces, and it isn't Charlotte.
Can a love born a century apart overcome duty, society, and time itself-or will Charlotte have to choose between the man she loves, and the life she dreads returning to?
