《國外英語語言文學前沿：2019-2020》(A Review of International EL&L: 2019-2020)旨在以述評方式向國內英語專學生和學者介紹2019年-2020年英語語言文學研究領域內國際知名學術刊物前沿成果。這些刊物包括New Literary History, Studies in Romanticism, ELH, Cognitive Linguistics, International Journal of Multiligualism, Research on Language and Social Interaction, Translation and Literature, Translation Studies, Target等。本書共分為“英美文學研究”、“語言學與應用語言學研究”和“翻譯學研究”三個板塊。其中“英美文學研究”收錄4篇文章、“語言學與應用語言學研究”收錄6篇文章、“翻譯學研究”收錄3篇文章，總計13篇文章。這13篇文章濃縮了2019、2020和2022三年期間上述雜誌所發文章的精髓。

為適應“雙一流”建設要求，我國普通高校教育學院面臨裁撤與新設的“矛盾”處境，在此種境況下，我國教育學院的功能也發生了一定的變化，甚至是“異化”。因此，為明晰我國高校教育學院的發展定位，理清教育學院在所處高校系統組織中發揮了何種功能，並且推動其找到適合自身的發展方式，本調查研究以我國高校教育學院為研究對象，通過對1275所本科院校中406所高校教育學院的發展現狀以及結構現狀展開了研究，並在此基礎上選出15所具有典型性的高校教育學院作為多案例研究的樣本。本研究基於結構功能主義的分析範式，運用三級編碼與紮根理論對所選取樣本進行了分析歸納，形成了適應功能、目標達成功能、整合功能、潛在模式維持功能四個核心類屬層次功能，以及十六個範疇化類屬層次功能。進而基於平衡計分卡(BSC)的視角，從財務(Financial)、顧客(Customer)、內部流程(Internal Processes)、學習和成長(Learning and Growth)四個維度初步構建了我國普通高校教育學院績效評價的指標體系；再次，運用德爾菲法對初步建立的指標體系進行遴選，並利用探索性因子分析(EFA)和結構方程模型(SEM)對遴選後的指標體系進行優化；最後，利用層次分析法(AHP)對優化後的指標體系權重大小進行計算，進而構建出我國普通高校教育學院績效評價的指標體系。具體的指標體系分4個一級指標、12個二級指標和47個具體觀測點，其中財務維度的權重為7.1%、顧客維度的權重為55%、內部主營業務流程維度的權重為23.8%、學習和成長維度的權重為14.1%。通過指標體系的構建，以期為我國普通高校教育學院績效評價提供客觀的第三方評價工具，為教育學院的科學治理提供參考，為我國教育學院的內涵式發展提供借鑒。

《區域》(Reshaping)由清華大學人文與社會科學高等研究所(Tsinghua Institute for Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences)編輯。人文與社會科學高等研究所正式成立於2009年，以促進人文與社會的高等研究為宗旨，其前身是清華人文與社會高等研究中心(2006) 。從世界範圍來看，高等研究特別是人文與社會科學的高等研究正在經歷重要的變化。以往的高等研究完全以歐洲和美國為中心，雖然也邀請少量的其他地區的學者擔任研究員，但研究方案的制定多以歐洲和美國的人文和社會科學研究為中心。在中國設立人文與社會高等研究所至少有下述三個方面的意義：第一，有助於將中國和亞洲地區悠久和豐富的人文學術傳統帶入高等研究的範疇內，為當代世界的人文-社會研究提供新的資源和視野；第二，有助於將中國社會主義歷史和改革過程的經驗帶入高等研究之中，為當代世界有關經濟、社會和文化變遷的研究提供新的活力；第三，有助於在中國學術研究與世界其他地區的學術研究之間展開對話、交流和合作，改變目前主要以歐洲和美國為中心的高等研究格局，為中國和亞洲學者加入國際學術對話提供重要的制度前提。 高等研究所不同於中國研究所或國學研究所，它以跨學科、跨文化、跨區域、跨國界的研究為特徵，致力於人文與社會科學領域的基本理論的探索和突破。本輯刊標題中的“區域”概念並不是一個特指的地理範疇，而是一個體現著混雜、交往、跨界和多重認同的空間概念。《區域》發表人文與社會科學各領域的論文，尤其鼓勵那些立足基礎研究、提出新的問題、視野和方法的作品。

Righteous Demagogues explores the causes, dynamics, and consequences of populist politics in South Asia and beyond. It argues that populist mobilizations are rooted in crises of representation, and populism is a symptom not an underlying cause of democratic malaise. Populist leaders, in framing their appeals, evoke the moral contract--that states are obligated to redress certain types of inequality--and promise its restoration, in ways that resonate with voters across lines of partisanship and social divisions, leading party system change. Depending on how broadly populist appeals resonate, different types of populism emerge, with consequences ranging from the rejection of populists to varying forms of democratic backsliding.
