鉴于近年来学界对新发现的中古时期文献和考古资料的广泛关注，北京大学中国古代史研究中心将在2017年 内举办 “文本性与物质性交错的中古中国：中古研究新前沿国际研讨会”（Textuality and Materiality in Medieval China: International Symposium at Peking University），本卷《唐研究》作为会议论文专集，希望重点讨论中古中国历史资料中文本性和物质性的关系，以此来重新评估5到10世纪文本与物质资料的历史价值。这一评估可以从各个角度来展开（艺术、经济、历史、文学以及宗教），尤其涉及以下几个方面的问题：1. 中古的文本性与物质性，2. 文本性与物质性的交错，3. 文本与物质制作的多重目的，4. 文本与物质的消费实践。各篇论文将就上述议题展开讨论。

This book is a study of social and cultural change in the lower Yangzi delta. This region, Ming China’s economic heartland, flourished commercially and culturally during the sixteenth century, and its elites maintained strong political ties with the central government at Beijing. Drawing upon a large body of contemporary writings, the author discusses important socio-economic and cultural trends wherein scholars and scholar-officials entered the marketplace while the merchant class improved its status and importance. For all the benefits they brought about, these developments sowed the seeds of trouble. 台灣文學的作家，特別是長篇小說作者，對書寫過去的歷史有著難以放下的關懷之情，好像不透過歷史的框架，無法給小說人物定位並解釋其行為動機。小說無法離開呈現人物及所處環境（土地），但是台灣特殊的歷史處境，使得歷史架構中的空間與時間不一定能對應吻合，歷史很諷刺地總不在作家的掌握中，而是在文本與讀者感知的他方。 若以台灣這塊土地為出發點，同一個空間發生了一次次外來政權的統治與撤退，每個政權看待歷史的方式也有不同，因此在台灣這塊土地上我們也目睹了不同政治時代所形成的差異性的歷史敘述。不論是外省人寫的反共小說，還是本省人想要尋回被壓抑的日治時期歷史，過去都與現在斷裂，因此歷史好像總是在「他方」，而我們所處的現在，與過去有巨大的裂變與距離。 台灣的歷史小說，特別是此書所要討論的「台灣三部曲」，往往具有國族寓言的特色；施叔青三部曲的特殊之處，是關於國族主義的「除去」與「前去」，把當代台灣的國族爭議投射於過去的歷史國族身分並非一個整體性的大傘，把性別、階級、慾望、種族等較「小」單位包含在內。相反地，性別、階級、慾望等各種日常生活身分的重層堆積，才能形成國族認同。「寓言」（allegory），總是牽涉到「不在場」，那麼「台灣三部曲」作為國族寓言，就是以性別、階級及情慾建立重層身分認同，隱約召喚出不在場的台灣認同。「認同」是台灣文學的終極關懷，經歷複雜歷史時空環境存活的人們與其後代子孫，該用何種心情面對那些與自己以往立場不同的人呢？所以作家企圖通過書寫來召喚過去，彌合過去與現在的斷裂，甚而進一步望向未來的種種可能性。 本書特色 本書以國族寓言貫串「台灣三部曲」，而每一部又以特定觀點來闡述該書特色，以文化學術的出發點，深度探討《行過洛津》、《風前塵埃》和《三世人》三書。 例：第二章《行過洛津》以人文地理學來闡述流動的空間。該書以清朝鹿港為背景，由鹿港的興盛與港口淤積導致沒落鋪陳空間化的歷史。本章核心概念是「之間性」（in-betweenness），打破二元對立，強調流動與曖昧。以該書深入描寫的商港為例，作者細膩鋪陳「海岸」景觀，而海岸既非陸地也非海洋，而是介於此二者「之間」。泥沙淤積造成海岸線的不斷移動，也隱喻中國∕台灣、異鄉∕本土、男性∕女性等二元對比因素的相對性與互相影響。忽男忽女的許情，其性別位置與情慾流動配合上述流動與不斷改變的地理空間，暗喻台灣的變化

This book is an attempt to clarify the history of San On County — the broader Hong Kong area — centring on the troubled years of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. It is based on an in-depth study of the San On County Gazetteer, which allows for a detailed discussion of the role, attitudes, and personalities of the San On magistrates, who were the heads of the county administration during this period. Particular focus is given to Zhou Xiyao (magistrate 1640–1644) and Li Kecheng (magistrate 1670–1675). The study finds that they, and at least some of the other magistrates of this period, were genuinely concerned about the county and its people, and tried as best they could to provide good and effective government for them.

This study tests the factors of transaction costs (TC) and resource-based views (RBV) to explain the MNEs’ entry decisions in China. By using large firm-level data from China, I show in this paper that variables related to internal uncertainty (e.g., management) and firm-specific assets tend to affect MNEs’ entry decisions in a way that is consistent with the transaction cost logic; that is, the higher degree of internal uncertainty, the MNEs may require more control over the foreign facilities or the JV. On the other hand, those variables related to external uncertainty (e.g., marketing) and intangible assets tend to conform to the resource-based view, which means higher external uncertainty would cause the MNEs to leverage the resources or local experience of local partners. This suggests that MNEs may need complementary resources from local partners to reduce the external uncertainty and enhance the value of their intangible resources.
