本書從元宇宙的起源和現實應用場景出發，基於元宇宙的“BIGCHINA”技術框架，為讀者依次揭開元宇宙背後八大硬科技—區塊鏈(Blockchain)技術、交互(Interactivity)技術、通信技術(Communication Technology，5G、6G)、雲和邊緣計算(Cloud and Edge Computing)技術、高性能計算和量子計算(High-Performance Computing and Quantum Computing)技術、物聯網和機器人(IoT and Robotics)技術、網絡(Network)技術、人工智能(Artificial Intelligence)技術的神秘面紗。本書將上述八大支撐技術與元宇宙中的諸多實際和潛在應用相結合，生動地繪製出一幅元宇宙的“技術圖譜”，為想要瞭解元宇宙及其背後核心技術的讀者提供有趣的科普閱讀體驗。此外，本書在一定程度上突破了從單一技術視域分析元宇宙的局限，對讀者瞭解當前元宇宙技術整體發展現狀和未來趨勢有一定的借鑒意義。

《價值評估的本質與法則：一般價值理論導論》（Valuation: Its Nature and Laws. Being An Introduction to the General Theory of Value）是威爾伯·馬歇爾·烏爾班（Wilbur Marshall Urban）於1909年出版的一部經典哲學著作。該書系統地探討了價值的本質、法則以及價值理論的一般框架，試圖從哲學的角度構建一個全面的價值理論體系。本書為該書的第一個中文譯本。該書是英語世界中首次系統探討價值理論的專著，為價值研究奠定了基礎。書稿對價值評價學科的貢獻是多方面的。作者不僅提出了價值評價的哲學框架，還強調了價值評價的主觀性與客觀性，推動了跨學科研究，並為價值評價學科的形成奠定了基礎。

近年來，域外視頻取證日益成為國際民商事司法協助的熱點問題。海牙國際私法會議對域外視頻取證問題高度重視，於2019年正式發佈了《〈海牙取證公約〉下使用視頻鏈接的良好實踐指南》(Guide to Good Practice on the Use of Video-Link under the Evidence Convention，以下簡稱《視頻取證指南》)，為公約框架下視頻取證合作與衝突解決提供了重要意見和建議，引發了國際社會的廣泛關注。本書在闡述國際民事訴訟中域外視頻取證的基本問題的前提下，以《海牙取證公約》、2020年歐盟《關於成員國法院之間民商事案件取證合作的第1783號理事會規則》 (以下簡稱《歐盟取證條例》)為主要視角論述了域外視頻取證的法律程序與規則，並以中美域外取證實踐為例，重點討論了域外視頻取證領域的法律衝突及相關的衝突解決方案，同時也分析了域外視頻取證中證據出境的限制以及權利保護要求。最後針對我國在域外視頻取證領域理論與實踐的現狀與不足，提出立法建議與意見。全文除緒論和結論外，共分五章。 第一章闡述域外視頻取證制度的基本問題；第二章是域外視頻取證的法律程序；第三章是域外視頻取證的衝突及其解決；第四章是域外視頻取證的限制和權利保護問題；第五章提出在百年未有之大變局的時代背景下，構建我國域外視頻取證法律制度。伴隨信息化的潮流，域外視頻取證給國際法治合作帶來機遇，也給國際法層面的制度構建與理論探索帶來挑戰。一個具有中國特色的建立於互相尊重主權原則基礎上的更具開放性和包容性的域外視頻取證法律制度，不僅是對海牙國際私法會議《視頻取證指南》的中國回應，也有助於我國在統籌推進國內法治和涉外法治的大背景下提升涉外法治建設水平，助力我國進一步參與和引領國際法治秩序的發展與變革。
