In Rosie Young: A Lifetime of Selfless Service, Moira Chan-Yeung presents a brief history of Professor Young’s remarkable career in medical education and administration at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and her wide-ranging public service to the community over many decades. As the first female dean of HKU’s Faculty of Medicine, her career was deeply intertwined with the socio-economic development of Hong Kong. After her retirement from HKU, she continued to serve HKU and the community up to the present. This book illustrates her many contributions to the development of medical education in Hong Kong and to the university administration at HKU. Professor Young’s extensive public service in the field of medicine also helped improve primary care, hospital care, and public health in Hong Kong. In Daily Giving Service: A History of the Diocesan Girls’ School, Hong Kong, Moira M. W. Chan-Yeung and her fellow contributors present a comprehensive history of one of Hong Kong’s oldest girls’ schools. As an alumna of the school, Chan-Yeung traces the history of her alma mater from its establishment in 1860, to its development over the last 160 years until the recent decade. Having experienced stability and turbulences in Hong Kong in the twentieth century, the school has become one of the most prominent girls’ schools in the city. 我國過去相關研究在進行領域的學術能量分析時，多依據資料庫廠商的期刊領域分類系統的角度檢視，該領域分類與我國國家科學及技術委員會(國科會)的學門分類並不相同。本研究嘗試以系統性的方法，串連國科會學門分類與期刊學科領域，以進行國科會學門層級的學術研究表現。本研究資料來源為科睿唯安公司(Clarivate)的Web of Science資料庫，包含自然科學引文索引擴大版(Science Citation Index Expanded, SCIE)，與社會科學引文索引(Social Science Citation Index, SSCI)、藝術人文引文索引(Arts & Humanities Citation Index, AHCI)，發表年介於2014-2021年，被引用次數計算至2022年9月30日。本研究初步完成學門分類與學術期刊學科領域之對應，並以國科會自然科學及永續研究發展處的10個學門為例，分析各學門學術能量，指標包含論文發表數量、引用相關指標、國際合著比例等，以瞭解學門層級的學術發表情形與影響力。此外國科會於2018年增設「新興/其他領域」學門，本研究亦透過串接研究計畫資料與論文書目資料，以瞭解該學門的成立，是否確實帶來了新的領域的產生，以及瞭解是哪類型的學者申請此學門的計畫。本研究之分析結果有助於了解學門領域層級的研究能量，並可做為相關部會未來規劃補助方案、研究資源配置之參考。

This study shows that private traders, regardless of the volume of their trade, were granted the same privileges in Canton as the large East India companies. All of these companies relied, to some extent, on private capital to finance their operations. Without the investments from individuals, the trade with China would have been greatly hindered. Competitors, large and small, traded alongside each other while enemies traded alongside enemies. Buddhists, Muslims, Catholics, Protestants, Parsees, Armenians, Hindus, and others lived and worked within the small area in the western suburbs of Canton designated for foreigners. Hong Kong began its colonial history in 1842 when China ceded Hong Kong Island to Britain. The Hong Kong Police Force was formally set up in 1844 to maintain law and order. To recognise its contribution in handling the 1967 Riots, the Hong Kong Police Force was renamed the Royal Hong Kong Police Force in 1969, turning a new page in the police history. 開放式共通平台介面的概念在於提供符合國際標準且具跨異質網路的應用服務平台，本計畫研究之標準Parlay X 2.0被國際標準組織3GPP及ETSI共同發佈為標準，符合本計畫制定標準介面研究需求，本計劃已完成Parlay X 2.0所規範之十 三項應用服務的標準介面研究，及完成「無線寬頻開放式平台介面標準草案」，並透過舉辦成果推廣及Parlay X/IMS技術研討會方式，提倡國內電信業者導入開放式平台介面標準於加值應用服務。本中心與工研院資通所資通所及國內電信業者合作建置實體測試環境，並依據Parlay X 2.0 Web Service與IMS介面標準，實際開發示範性應用服務(3rd Party Call、Emergency Call)，以瞭解本計畫所研究的Parlay X 2.0 Web Service 介面標準應用於IMS實際網路運作情形與問題，提供未來電信業者開發應用服務之參考依據。
