Written by a medical and a legal pioneer in the field, this book comprehensively reviews and analyzes the evolving law and policy issues surrounding assisted reproductive technologies. Dr. Howard W. Jones, Jr., founder of the first in vitro fertilization program in the United States, offers medical commentary, while attorney Susan L. Susan L. Crockin, J.D., is the principal of the Crockin Law & Policy Group, LLC, in Newton, Massachusetts, is an adjunct professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School, and teaches at Tufts University. She has edited two books on the legal issues of ARTs and writes the column "Legally Speaking,"R published in ASRM News. Howard W. Jones, Jr., M.D., is a world-renowned fertility doctor who, together with his late wife, Dr. Georgeanna Jones, pioneered IVF technology in the United States. He initiated and chaired the first Ethics Committee of the American Fertility Society (now ASRM) and is former director of the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine and a professor emeritus at Eastern Virginia Medical School.
