Drawing on Russian and early German Romantic studies, and diverging from most of his anglophone colleagues, Chambers (English, Kennesaw State U.) identifies parody as the principal source of innovation and change in the arts. He also claims that existing scholarly work on such concepts as complex irony and meta-art are often really about parody, just using different terms because of parody's low reputation. 作者簡介
Robert Chambers is Adjunct Assistant Professor of English at Kennesaw State University. A graduate of Princeton University, he earned his masters and doctorate in modern British and American literature at Indiana University. He has been a correspondent for The Economist and a reporter for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, where he won a national fellowship competition.
