Impact of E-Business Technologies on Public and Private Organizations ─ Industry Comparisons and Perspectives

This resource presents case studies and reviews by international contributors from 10 different countries. Chapters are grouped in sections on e-business applications in higher education, e-business impact on public and private organizations, and e-business definitions and conceptual discussions. Some specific topics include matching curriculum design to student need in business programs, enterprise risk management programs in the pharmaceutical industry, planning and management of e-technologies in higher education, and e-banking challenges in rural areas and emerging nations. Other subjects discussed include delivering analytics in the staffing industry, health information technology, and e-business security tools. Four US cases (two private and two public institutions) are presented, analyzing the application of e-business etiquette as part of decision-making procedures.
