商品簡介
This introductory text on constitutional law explains components of the Constitution and how they were constructed and discusses controversial issues, all in an accessible, conversational writing style for students with no background in law. An introduction walks through each section of the document and briefly summarizes its meaning. Each of the text's chapters consists of objectives, an overview, discussion of key cases, and review questions, plus the complete text of two constitutional cases. For historical accuracy, the cases appear in their sometimes old-fashioned original language. Some of the controversial issues discussed include abortion, affirmative action, the death penalty, and the right to bear arms. Scaros formerly served as dean of criminal justice at Katharine Gibbs School. Annotation c2010 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
