商品簡介
Hardy (English, Maryland Community College) discusses how Lewis found inspiration in Paradise Lost and The Faerie Queen, fantastic fiction and even courtly love poetry. She carefully analyzes the role of powerful and malicious mortals, both women and men, the role of monsters, protagonists who must sometimes be wrong, intelligent women and girls, and very large places that fit inside very small spaces. She closes by commenting on why we know so much about Lewis's beliefs when we are on the other side of the wardrobe's doors. Annotation c2007 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
