商品簡介
This book arises out of the Delineating and Evaluating Coherent Instructional Designs for Education project, a multidisciplinary effort to synthesize ideas about designing science education with coherence, which largely means fashioning and using curriculum materials that connect diverse examples and show how to reconcile discrepancies between the science classroom, personal observations, interactions with peers, and media depictions of science. Kali (Technion--Israel Institute of Technology, Israel), Linn (Graduate School of education, U. of California at Berkeley, US), and Roseman (American Association for the Advancement of Science, US) present nine papers discussing the characteristics of curriculum coherence, learning environments that enhance integrated understanding, design of science instruction for diverse learners, supporting teacher adaptation, building leadership for scaling science curriculum reform, assessing integrated understanding of science, synthesizing design knowledge, and policy implications.
