商品簡介
The anthology emerged from a 1984-85 lecture series presented by the Anthropological Society of Washington, and focuses primarily on using archaeology and documents to investigate meaning and structure, but also looks at sites in the eastern US whose meanings were by and large religious or ideological. The 1988 edition was published by Smithsonian Institution Press; Leone adds a new prologue elaborating on the importance of culture in the work of historical archaeologists and the critical role that culture plays in the search for meaning and consciousness. Percheron Press is the reprint imprint of Eliot Werner Publications. Annotation (c) Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
