商品簡介
This work proposes a conceptual framework for distance language learning and provides principles for understanding, designing, and running distance language learning environments, addressing components of teacher, learner, language, and context, independent of the software or hardware used. The first part of the book offers an introduction to Bertin's model of didactic ergonomics, and offers a psycho-sociological perspective by co-author Patrick Grave. The next section discusses the various 'poles'--the learner pole, the teacher pole, and the context pole--in the context of distance learning. The final section gives suggestions for designing a distance language learning environment and considers pedagogic consequences. Bertin is professor of English language learning and teaching at the University of Le Havre, France. Annotation c2010 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
