Arising from presentations at the International Meeting 2008 of the Society of Biblical Literature in Auckland, New Zealand, six contributions discuss the following topics: the Deuteronomistic history in the Persian period, the Book Of Judges as a late construct, national identity as commentary and as metacommentary, Ezra's many identities in Ezra-Nehemiah, David's officials according to the Chronicler, and historiography in Chronicles.
