Rodrigues is Professor (Professor Catedratico) at the Departamento de Engenharia Informatica, Instituto Superior Tecnico (IST), at the Universidade Tecnica de Lisboa in Portugal. Christian Cachin works at IBM Research in Zurich, Switzerland.
