Sisters Ann Mitchell and Karen Mitchell started their mixed media jewelry business, AnKara Designs, in 1991. Together, the Mitchell sisters authored the book Liquid Polymer Clay: Fabulous New Techniques for Making Jewelry and Home Accents (Krause Publications). They also add to their credits experience as teachers, columnists, and craft product designers.
