Steven B. Sandler is associate professor of psychiatry at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. After starting his career as a schoolteacher, he completed training in pediatrics, child psychiatry, and adult psychiatry. For the past twenty years, his work has included the practice and teaching of dynamic psychotherapy.
