商品簡介
Bull was professor of international relations at England's University of Oxford until his death in 1985. This edited volume gathers some of his significant writings on the idea of international society. The nine included papers, dating from 1966 to 1972, are reproduced in full, save for minor editing. The editors' introduction consists of essays discussing the idea of international society; the relationship of Bull's ideas to the three major contending perspectives in contemporary international relations theory; and the extent to which Bull's work remains relevant in the post-Cold War world.
