Nabil I. Hanna worked for the State Department for almost fifteen years. Prior to this, he was an assistant professor in ethnomusicology. He has traveld and lived in many parts of the world and served at the Baha'i World Center in Haifa, Israel. Having been brought up in Egypt and having experienced firsthand the tensions between Jews, Christians, and Muslims—due to differing interpretations of the Bible and the Qur'an—he was inspired to write this book. He presently lives with his wife Dora Jean in Annapolis, Maryland.
