商品簡介
Green, a former teacher who now works as a tutor and coach to children with ADHD at a mental health clinic, explains how parents and teachers can utilize the characteristics of children with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder to motivate those in grades five through eight to do their homework. She focuses on empowering them by allowing them to make choices, engaging them through active involvement, enriching their experiences, enabling them to feel success, and using encouragement. She describes activities to open homework, such as scavenger hunts, using art in planners, and creating schedules; for study and academic skills; for reading, math, spelling, and writing; and for addressing specific symptoms, from impulsivity to the wiggles, as well as dealing with emotions.
