JAY SCHULKIN is Research Professor, Department of Neuroscience at Georgetown University, USA. He has received a number of awards including a MacArthur Foundation post-doctoral award through the University of Pennsylvania, USA, a Research Career Development Award from the National Institutes of Mental Health, and a Program Project Award from the National Institute of Mental Health for work done at the University of Pennsylvania, Rockefeller University, USA, and Georgetown University. This work was centered on the cephalic and behavioral regulation of the internal milieu.
